GE Profile ovens,
specifically.

GE Profile covers smart convection wall ovens such as the PTS7000 and double PTD7000, older PT7050 models, and 30-inch wall ovens with Advantium speedcook technology. The conventional ovens share GE's F-code list, while the Advantium speed ovens have a list of their own.

The GE Profile lineup

What is particular
to GE Profile.

GE Profile wall ovens include smart single and double convection models with air fry and Precision Cooking, older electronic models like the PT7050, and Advantium speed ovens. The speed ovens use their own code list and different parts from the conventional ovens.

Some features wait for Wi-Fi

GE says some cooking functions on smart Profile wall ovens are not available until the oven is connected to home Wi-Fi, and connecting also brings software updates. An oven that seems to be missing a mode may simply not be connected yet.

An Advantium speed oven in the wall

Profile models such as the PSB9240 put GE's Advantium 240V speedcook oven into a 30-inch wall cut-out. Its F-codes mean different things from the same numbers on a regular Profile oven, so F6 on an Advantium is heat, not the keypanel.

Advantium sparks usually have a cause

GE explains that arcing in an Advantium comes from metal in the cavity, foil touching the walls or even certain vegetables. A few sparks do not by themselves point to a failed part.

Mounting height matters for the 240V model

GE's installation guide says Advantium 240V models cannot be installed below 36 inches. When a speed oven is moved or replaced, that rule limits where it can go.

Parts

Sensors, locks, cooling fans and elements for Profile convection wall ovens are generally available. Advantium lamps, sensors and control boards are specific to that platform and can take longer to arrive.

Repair or replace

Profile wall ovens are usually worth repairing for sensor, lock or fan problems. On an Advantium, a failed control on an older unit is the point where replacing it makes sense.

Questions about
GE Profile ovens.

Why is a cooking mode missing on my GE Profile smart oven?
GE notes that some functions are not available until the oven is connected to Wi-Fi. Connecting also loads the latest software.
Do GE Profile Advantium codes match the regular oven codes?
No. Advantium speed ovens have their own list, where F6 means a high cavity temperature. On a regular Profile oven F6 concerns the keypanel.
Is sparking in my GE Profile Advantium a sign it is broken?
Not usually. GE lists metal cookware, twist-ties, foil touching the walls and some vegetables as causes. Remove the cause; book a visit if sparking continues with none present.
Can a GE Profile Advantium 240V be installed under a counter?
GE's installation guide says 240-volt Advantium models cannot be installed below 36 inches.
