JennAir ovens,
specifically.

JennAir's wall oven help covers single and double wall ovens, combination units with a microwave and a steam oven, with a separate page for each two-part code such as F3 E0. Each page names the part or circuit involved and gives one owner step, a one-minute breaker reset, before service.

The JennAir lineup

What is particular
to JennAir.

JennAir's wall oven help spans single and double wall ovens, combination units with a microwave on top, and a steam oven with its own messages. The microwave and steam sections add inverter and water codes that a plain wall oven never shows.

The second half of the code names the cavity

On double ovens the E part of a code can separate the two cavities: F3 E0 names the upper oven's temperature sensor and F3 E1 the lower one. Reading both halves tells you which cavity to report.

A one-minute reset, then watch

JennAir's code pages ask you to turn the breaker off for one minute, back on, and then watch the oven for a minute to see whether the code returns. Only a code that comes back needs a visit.

The steam oven is calibrated to altitude

Water boils at a lower temperature at altitude, so the JennAir steam oven calibrates itself to local air pressure. Done once after installation, it must be repeated if the oven moves somewhere at a different altitude.

The steam oven drains only when cool

The Drain function will not start while the boiler is above 140 °F, or while the water container still holds water. Emptying the container and waiting is often all a slow drain needs.

Parts

Sensors, latches, fans and control boards for JennAir wall ovens are ordered by the full model number. Steam oven and microwave inverter parts are more specific and can take longer.

Repair or replace

Sensor, latch and fan repairs are usually worth doing on a JennAir wall oven. On a combination unit, replacement is worth comparing when both the microwave and the oven need major parts.

Questions about
JennAir ovens.

My JennAir steam oven will not drain. What should I check?
Make sure the boiler has cooled below 140 °F and the water container has been emptied and put back; the Drain function will not start otherwise. If the oven was moved, calibrate it again from the Maintenance menu.
How do I calibrate my JennAir steam oven?
Fill the water container to MAX with fresh tap water, then choose Maintenance and Calibrate and press START. Keep the door shut until the process ends.
What does 'Descale is needed' mean on my JennAir steam oven?
The oven needs cleaning and descaling. Run the Descaling program from the Maintenance menu with descaler or white vinegar mixed into the water container, and let it finish.
