A warning icon, not a code

On the FPRO30F steam-assist wall ovens, a warning symbol in the status bar opens a pop-up describing the issue when you touch it. Reading that pop-up out is more useful than any number.

Showroom mode keeps it cold

In SHOWROOM MODE the display works but the oven draws no heating power, and Bertazzoni's troubleshooting table checks DEMO mode first when an oven does not heat.

Descaling cannot be skipped

The steam-assist ovens give two descaling reminders. After the second, steam functions stay off until descaling is done, and the reminder cannot be turned off.

The steam oven talks in short words

On the MAST30CSEX and PROF30CSEX steam ovens, rES means the water tank is not seated, -L0- that it is nearly empty and DEP that it should be emptied and dried; Err_ is the one message sent straight to service.

Repair or replace

My Bertazzoni wall oven lights up but will not heat. What should I check?
Bertazzoni's first check is DEMO, or showroom, mode, which keeps the display working without heat. Turn it off in the settings.
Why did the steam functions stop on my Bertazzoni oven?
After the second descaling reminder, steam stays off until descaling is done. Run the Descale cycle from the Clean menu.
What do rES and DEP mean on a Bertazzoni steam oven?
rES means the water tank is not properly inserted; DEP asks you to empty and dry the tank after cooking.
