Tower living

Tower kitchens are usually all-electric, so the wall oven runs on its own dedicated circuit and a gas oven is rarely an option. When the oven stops heating, the unit's panel and that circuit are checked before the oven itself.

Older housing stock

Older houses often run a modern wall oven on wiring that was extended rather than replaced, and a double oven can draw more than an old branch circuit was meant to carry. Slow heating or a breaker that trips can start in the wall as easily as in the oven.

Salt air works its way into a wall oven's touch panel, door lock switches and wiring connectors, and corrosion there can cause ghost presses, errors or a lock that will not release. The main board is often fine once the connections are cleaned or replaced.
