Whirlpool ovens,
specifically.

Whirlpool builds single, double and microwave-combination wall ovens in 27-inch and 30-inch widths, sorted into starter, standard and premium tiers. Its help center gives each two-part display code its own page, and almost every one begins with a one-minute power reset at the breaker.

The Whirlpool lineup

What is particular
to Whirlpool.

Whirlpool wall ovens come as single, double and microwave-combination units in 27-inch and 30-inch widths, with smart models in the upper tiers. A combination unit has two sets of parts and codes in one cabinet, so the exact model number matters before a visit.

Codes say which cavity

Whirlpool splits many codes by cavity: F3 E0 is the upper oven's temperature sensor, F3 E1 the lower one, and F8 E0 and F8 E1 do the same for the cooling fans. On a double oven that tells the technician which half to open before the visit starts.

Combination ovens carry microwave codes

The microwave-combination wall ovens share one code list with the ovens, so an F1 E2 or F4 E-group code can point at the microwave section rather than the oven below it. The code page names which part it means.

Smart ovens add Wi-Fi messages

Connected models can pick up new modes such as Air Fry through updates, and they report connection trouble with FC codes. An FC code concerns the app link to your router, not heating.

Power attachments can raise a code

On some models a roll-out rack with a power attachment plugs into the oven, and if it comes unplugged mid-cook the display can show F3 E4. Reseating the rack is the first check before anyone suspects the probe circuit.

Parts

Sensors, door latch assemblies, cooling fans and bake and broil elements for current Whirlpool wall ovens are widely stocked. Control boards and microwave-section parts on combination units are more model-specific and may need ordering after the first visit.

Repair or replace

A sensor, latch, fan or element repair on a Whirlpool wall oven is usually worth doing, because replacing a built-in oven also means matching the cut-out. A failed main control on an older model is where comparing against a new oven makes sense.

Questions about
Whirlpool ovens.

What does the E0 or E1 at the end of a Whirlpool oven code mean?
On many Whirlpool codes the second part names the cavity or the part. F3 E0 is the upper oven sensor and F3 E1 the lower one, which tells the technician where to look.
Why does my Whirlpool wall oven show PUSH?
It is waiting for the Start pad. If Start is not pressed within about five seconds the prompt appears, and after a minute the setting is canceled.
Should I try a reset before booking a Whirlpool oven repair?
Yes. Whirlpool's own first step for most codes is to switch the breaker off for a minute and back on, then watch the oven for a minute. If the code returns, book a visit.
Can a Whirlpool smart oven lose Air Fry if it is not connected?
Whirlpool says its smart ovens gain new cycles and features such as Air Fry Mode through updates. Those updates arrive over Wi-Fi, so a connection problem shown as an FC code delays them.
