Fulgor Milano ovens,
specifically.

Fulgor Milano is an Italian maker whose US ovens include the knob-controlled Sofia Pro single and double wall ovens, a Pro steam oven, a Sofia Pro speed oven and the touch-control Distinto 700 series. Its wall ovens give door-latch and knob problems their own codes, so a visit starts from the number on the display or in the oven's event log.

The Fulgor Milano lineup

What is particular
to Fulgor Milano.

The US ovens include the Sofia Pro F6PSP30S1 single and F6PDP30S1 double wall ovens, the F6PSCO30S1 Pro steam oven, the F6PSPD30S1 Sofia Pro speed oven and the Distinto 700 touch-control ovens. The knob and touch-control families print different codes for the same latch problem.

A latch test at every power-up

When power returns, the door lock runs a test before the clock comes back. For a latch code, Fulgor's first step is to cut and restore power so that test runs again.

Knob codes on the Sofia Pro

The Sofia Pro ovens are set with knobs, and a knob parked between OFF and SELF-CLEAN for 30 seconds or more brings up F15 or F16. Turning every knob to OFF and cycling the breaker comes before any repair.

An event log keeps the codes

Distinto 700 ovens record each code in a log in the Setup menu. A code that flashed while nobody was watching can still be read back and passed to the technician ahead of the visit.

Calibration before parts

When a Sofia Pro oven runs hot or cool, Fulgor points first to its temperature calibration setting. The offset is checked and adjusted before a sensor is suspected.

Parts

Fulgor Milano parts are ordered by the full model number, and the knob and touch-control ovens use different controls and latches, so the rating plate is read before an order.

Repair or replace

Latch and knob codes are handled with a reset first and a door-lock repair second; neither is a reason to replace a built-in oven. Replacement becomes a question only when an older oven needs its control and its lock at the same time.

Questions about
Fulgor Milano ovens.

My Fulgor Milano oven shows F15 and I didn't start a self-clean. Why?
F15 appears when the mode knob sits between OFF and SELF-CLEAN, or the temperature knob between PRESET and SELF-CLEAN, for 30 seconds or more. Turn every knob to OFF, switch the breaker off for a few seconds, and book a visit if the code returns.
What does F17 mean after F15 on a Fulgor Milano oven?
Fulgor describes F17 as an extension of F15, not a separate problem. The same steps apply: knobs to OFF, then power off and back on at the breaker.
My Fulgor Milano oven door stays locked after it has cooled. What can I try?
Fulgor's step is to turn the oven off at the breaker, wait a few seconds and turn it back on so the control resets. If the door still will not release, book a visit.
Why does my Fulgor Milano oven light stay on with the door closed?
Fulgor points to something blocking the door, a bent hinge or a broken door switch. Check for a rack or towel caught in the door, and book a visit if the light still stays on.
