Who writes
the guides.

Our oven articles come from the technicians who pull wall ovens out of their cabinets and work on them in your kitchen. Most pieces start from a problem people call about every week: an oven that never reaches its set temperature, a door that stays locked after a cleaning cycle, a broiler that stays dark, or a code flashing on the display.

We leave out brands we do not service and codes that no manufacturer has published. When a use-and-care guide or a safety agency covers a point, the article links to it directly; when something is based only on our own service experience, we tell the reader that in so many words.

Why an oven won't heat, from the breaker to the element

How a guide
is written.

Four rules every guide on this site follows, from the first question to the last revision.

01

Written from oven service visits

Subjects come from what homeowners report when they schedule an oven repair, along with the simple checks, such as a tripped breaker or a clock left in delay mode, that often explain the complaint.

02

Checked against the maker's literature

Model details, cutout and wiring requirements and what each code means are taken from the manufacturer's installation instructions, use-and-care guide or technical sheets, linked next to the sentence that relies on them.

03

Safety claims follow the agencies

Whatever we say about recalls, gas, burns, fire or electrical hazards rests on published material from the CPSC and similar agencies, repeated in their terms and linked for the reader.

04

Dates you can see

Every oven article lists when it first went up and when it was last revised, and we revise it as soon as a manufacturer or agency updates the page it depends on.

Questions about
the guides.

Who writes the oven articles on this site?
The technicians who carry out the oven repairs booked here. Their field notes are checked against the maker's own published instructions wherever those exist.
Do oven manufacturers influence these articles?
They do not. We are an independent repair company, and no manufacturer sponsors, reviews or signs off on our writing.
How do I report a mistake in an oven article?
Use the contact page to tell us which article it is and which statement seems wrong. After we verify the correction, the article is updated and shows the new revision date.
