What 120-124
actually means.
Codes 120 to 124 on an AGA eR7 are a cooking zone overheat. AGA's service notes tie them to thermocouples connected to the wrong places on the back of the user panel, so one zone's probe reports for another.

What to do when 120-124 shows on the ovenKind of codeTemperature sensor
The reading from the temperature probe fell outside what the control will trust, or climbed far higher than the setting. A loose connector or a probe that has drifted is ruled out before the control itself, and a reading that runs away means the breaker goes off first.
Usually leads toTemperature sensor and calibration
Baking that comes out burnt or pale at the usual setting, traced to the sensor, its wiring or an oven that simply needs calibrating.
Shows up asOven Temperature Not Accurate
Recipes come out burnt or underdone at the right setting, and an oven thermometer reads far from the dial.

What not to do
A 120-124 code is not the full power time out, which is a zone heating too slowly. This one is a zone that reads as too hot.
