What F3
actually means.
On GE wall ovens, F3 most often means the oven sensor needs replacing. It is one of the more common GE codes because the sensor sits in the cavity and lives through every self-clean.

What to do when F3 shows on the ovenKind of codeTemperature sensor
The reading from the temperature probe fell outside what the control will trust, or climbed far higher than the setting. A loose connector or a probe that has drifted is ruled out before the control itself, and a reading that runs away means the breaker goes off first.
Usually leads toTemperature sensor and calibration
Baking that comes out burnt or pale at the usual setting, traced to the sensor, its wiring or an oven that simply needs calibrating.
Shows up asOven Not Heating
The oven turns on and the display counts, but the cavity stays cold or only lukewarm after a long preheat.
