Dacor Modernist wall oven
showing C-20

C-20 on a Dacor Modernist oven means the cavity temperature sensor was found open or shorted while the oven was running, so the control cannot read the temperature it is holding.

Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 407-1890

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for C-20 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press OFF and restart the oven.

02

If C-20 persists, disconnect all power for at least 30 seconds and reconnect.

03

If it still returns, stop using the oven and book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into temperature sensor and calibration. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

C-20 is not the meat probe; that is C-23. This one is the sensor in the cavity.

What you may
notice with it.

The oven problems C-20 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the oven before anyone is booked.

Questions
about C-20.

Can I clear C-20 myself?
Press OFF and restart the oven. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can my Dacor still bake with C-20 on the display?
It should not be trusted to. C-20 means the control has lost a valid reading from the cavity sensor, so it cannot regulate heat. Run the restart and the 30-second power cycle, and book a visit if it stays.
Is C-20 on my Dacor the probe I plug into the roast?
No. That probe has its own code, C-23. C-20 is the sensor built into the oven cavity.

Still showing C-20?

Book with the code exactly as shown, the full model number, and whether you can smell gas or burning — with a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
