Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Dacor's own guidance for C-d1 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Press OFF and restart the oven.

02

If C-d1 stays, disconnect all power to the oven for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect.

03

If it still shows, book a visit and do not force the door.

Still there?

It usually turns into door lock and self-clean repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

C-d1 is not a Control Lockout message. Control Lockout locks the door on purpose; C-d1 reports the lock in the wrong place.

What you may
notice with it.

The oven problems C-d1 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the oven before anyone is booked.

Questions
about C-d1.

Can I clear C-d1 myself?
Press OFF and restart the oven. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Dacor shows C-d1 and the door will not open. Is it Control Lockout?
Not necessarily. Control Lockout also locks the door, but it is released from the control panel; C-d1 means the lock itself is out of position. Try the restart and power steps, then book a visit.
Did a power outage cause C-d1 on my Dacor?
It can leave the door in an odd state. Dacor's manual suggests activating and then releasing Control Lockout when the door stays shut after a tripped breaker, and a full power cycle for C-d1.

Still showing C-d1?

Book with the code exactly as shown, the full model number, and whether you can smell gas or burning — with a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
