What A3
actually means.
A3 means the door could not be unlocked after a Self Clean cycle finished. A power reset and a gentle press on the door often free the lock.

What to do when A3 shows on the ovenKind of codeDoor and lock
The motorized lock did not reach the position the control asked for, or its switch reported the wrong one. Most often this shows during or after self-clean; the latch, its switches and the door's alignment are checked before the lock motor is replaced.

It usually turns into door lock and self-clean repair. Book with the code and the model number.
What not to do
A3 is different from the normal cool-down. Fisher and Paykel notes that the door also stays locked after self-clean while the oven is too hot to cook in, and that is expected.
What you may
notice with it.
The oven problems A3 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the oven before anyone is booked.
