What 2420
actually means.
2420 is logged when the relay board of an M Series oven sees something wrong in the RTD circuit, the resistance-type sensor the oven reads to hold its set temperature. Until that reading is trusted, the control cannot regulate heat properly.

What to do when 2420 shows on the ovenKind of codeTemperature sensor
The reading from the temperature probe fell outside what the control will trust, or climbed far higher than the setting. A loose connector or a probe that has drifted is ruled out before the control itself, and a reading that runs away means the breaker goes off first.
Usually leads toTemperature sensor and calibration
Baking that comes out burnt or pale at the usual setting, traced to the sensor, its wiring or an oven that simply needs calibrating.
Shows up asOven Temperature Not Accurate
Recipes come out burnt or underdone at the right setting, and an oven thermometer reads far from the dial.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Wolf's own guidance for 2420 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.
Switch the oven's breaker off for about 30 seconds, turn it back on and run the oven again.
If 2420 returns, do not rely on the oven for cooking that needs an accurate temperature; book a visit.
Still there?
It usually turns into temperature sensor and calibration. Book with the code and the model number.
What not to do
2420 is not a sign that the oven merely runs a few degrees hot or cold. It reports a circuit problem, and a small calibration offset in the settings will not clear it.
