What F55
actually means.
F55 comes from a safety shut-off in Miele ovens. If the oven has been running for an unusually long time for the mode that is set, it switches itself off and shows F55. The time limit depends on the operating mode.

A setting someone switched on, or a state the oven entered on purpose — a control lock, a Sabbath setting, a showroom mode that lights the display without heating. No part has broken and nothing has to be replaced.

Turn the oven off and then back on; it is ready to use again right away.
Shows up asOven Not Heating
The oven turns on and the display counts, but the cavity stays cold or only lukewarm after a long preheat.

Before you book,
in this order.
Each step comes from Miele's own guidance for F55 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

Cleared?
The oven came through without a new part. If the same message returns during a later bake, or the oven stops heating partway through, book it as a fresh problem.
What not to do
F55 is not a heating problem. It is a timer protecting against an oven left on for too long.
