Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Kenmore's own guidance for F3/E3 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the oven off at the breaker.

02

Leave the door shut and let the oven cool; it may stay locked until it does.

03

Book a visit before running self-clean again.

It usually turns into bake and broil element repair. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

It is not a normal part of self-clean; a clean cycle is meant to stay below this limit.

notice with it.

Questions
about F3/E3.

Can I clear F3/E3 myself?
Turn the oven off at the breaker. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Why did F3/E3 appear during my Kenmore's self-clean?
The control saw the cavity go above 950°F, the limit for the cleaning cycle. That can come from a heating control problem or a sensor reading wrong.
Can I run self-clean again after F3/E3 on my Kenmore?
Not until it has been checked. Another clean cycle could overheat the oven again.
