showing F10

On an Electrolux standard wall oven, F10 is the thermal runaway alert: the control has read a higher cavity temperature than normal and shuts down to protect the oven.

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Electrolux's own guidance for F10 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Switch the oven off and wait until it is completely cool.

02

On a Stone-Baked Pizza model, check the shield and rack against the use and care guide (position 7 on many models) and preheat again.

03

Reset the oven by cutting power at the breaker for 30 seconds; other circuits on that breaker will reset too.

04

If heat continues with the oven switched off, keep the breaker off and book a visit. Book one as well if F10 returns during everyday cooking.

What not to do

F10 is not a cleaning reminder or a lock message; Electrolux ties it to temperature alone.

Questions
about F10.

Can I clear F10 myself?
Switch the oven off and wait until it is completely cool. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Does F10 on an Electrolux mean the oven is dangerous to use?
It means the control saw more heat than it should and stopped, which is the safety design working. Let it cool and reset it; if the code returns or the oven keeps heating while off, leave the breaker off until it is checked.
Why does Electrolux mention a pizza shield for F10?
Ovens with the Stone-Baked Pizza feature can show F10 when the shield sits on the wrong rack. Moving it to the rack in the manual is the first check on those models only.
