Frigidaire wall oven
showing F10

Frigidaire calls F10 a thermal runaway: the control has picked up a cavity temperature above the normal range and stops as a safety measure.

Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 407-1890

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Frigidaire's own guidance for F10 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the oven off and let it cool completely before you use it again.

02

If you were baking with the pizza shield, move it to the rack position your use and care guide gives (rack 7 on many models) and start the pizza preheat again.

03

Clear the display by cutting power for 30 seconds at the breaker.

04

If the oven keeps heating after you turn it off, leave the breaker off and book a visit; do the same if F10 returns on an ordinary bake.

What not to do

F10 says nothing about the door or its lock. It is about the temperature the control reads inside the cavity.

Every code on this site is taken from the manufacturer's documentation, never from a forum or a parts listing. Frigidaire's oven code guide lists F10 for standard range ovens and wall ovens, with a separate note for ovens that have the Stone-Baked Pizza feature. The guide names no model numbers.

Questions
about F10.

Can I clear F10 myself?
Turn the oven off and let it cool completely before you use it again. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can a pizza stone setting really cause F10 on a Frigidaire?
Yes. Frigidaire links F10 on Stone-Baked Pizza ovens to the pizza shield sitting on the wrong rack. Put the shield where the manual shows, reset the power and run the pizza preheat again before suspecting a part.
Is it safe to keep baking after F10 clears on my Frigidaire wall oven?
Once the oven has cooled and the code stays away, normal use is fine. If F10 comes back during a regular bake, the heat is not being controlled as it should be, and the oven should stay off until it has been checked.
