Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from Gaggenau's own guidance for E182 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn the function selector off and take out the water tank.

02

Remove the lid, rinse the suction hose under running water, check that the filter at the discharge valve is clear, and refit the hose without kinks.

03

Make sure the household water supply to the oven is open.

04

If E182 appears again, book a visit.

What not to do

What you may
notice with it.

Questions
about E182.

Can I clear E182 myself?
Turn the function selector off and take out the water tank. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My Gaggenau combi-steam oven is plumbed in. Why does E182 send me to the water tank?
The manual's check for E182 starts with the tank, its suction hose and the filter at the discharge valve, and a kinked or clogged hose there can stop water just as well as a closed supply. Check both before booking a visit.
E182 cleared after I cleaned the hose on my Gaggenau. Should I still book a visit?
Not if it stays away; the manual only sends you to service when the message comes back. Keep an eye on the next few steam cycles.
