LG wall oven
showing F-3

LG's manual lists F-3 as a key short error: the control believes a button is being held when nobody is touching it.

Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 407-1890

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from LG's own guidance for F-3 on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Turn off the active function to clear the display.

02

Make sure nothing is resting against the control panel.

03

Set the oven again; if F-3 returns, record it and book a visit.

Still there?

It usually turns into controls and sensors. Book with the code and the model number.

What not to do

F-3 is not Control Lock. A locked panel shows Loc, not an F code.

What you may
notice with it.

The oven problems F-3 tends to arrive with. Answer these at the oven before anyone is booked.

Questions
about F-3.

Can I clear F-3 myself?
Turn off the active function to clear the display. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
My LG oven showed F-3 once and then worked. Should I worry?
A single F-3 that clears when you turn the function off and set the oven again needs no action. If it keeps returning, record it and book a visit, as LG advises.
Is F-3 on an LG wall oven the same as the control being locked?
No. Control Lock shows Loc and is cleared by holding CLEAR/OFF for 3 seconds. F-3 is the control reporting a key it thinks is stuck.

Back to your everyday

Still showing F-3?

Book with the code exactly as shown, the full model number, and whether you can smell gas or burning — with a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
