If the oven has not been descaled recently, replace the water filter first. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my Viking combi steam oven want a new water filter along with DESCALE NOW? The manual links DESCALE NOW to a scaled boiler and also to a partly blocked filter, which lets less water through. Changing the filter first gives the descale a fair test. ### Can I stop the descale on my Viking once it has started?
