Smeg's Show Room mode switches off every heating element while leaving the control panel active. Demo Mode does the same and plays a demonstration on the display after a period of inactivity. Smeg oven display · also shown as Demo Mode What to do when Show Room shows on the oven ### Kind of code Mode, not a failure A setting someone switched on, or a state the oven entered on purpose — a control lock, a Sabbath setting, a showroom mode that lights the display without heating. No part has broken and nothing has to be replaced. ### Usually leads to No repair Open the settings menu and select Show Room. ### Shows up as Oven Not Heating The oven turns on and the display counts, but the cavity stays cold or only lukewarm after a long preheat. ### Make Smeg An Italian manufacturer with built-in ovens in several design lines, sized in 24 and 30 inches for American kitchens. ### Source Smeg US manual 91477B177 for the SOPU3104TPG / SOPU3304TPX self-clean ovens (doc.smeg.it) In Smeg US manuals 91477B177 (SOPU self-clean ovens), 91477B228 (SOCU3304SCX combi-steam) and 91477B224 (SOU2104TG / SOU2304TX). ## Before you book, in this order. Each step comes from Smeg's own guidance for Show Room on its ovens. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit. 01 Open the settings menu and select Show Room. 02 Set it to Off and confirm; do the same for Demo Mode if it is on. 03 Try a bake. Book a visit only if the oven still does not heat. ### Cleared? The oven came through without a new part. If the same message returns during a later bake, or the oven stops heating partway through, book it as a fresh problem. ### What not to do An oven in Show Room mode has not failed.
