F20 appears if the cavity of a Miele steam or combi-steam oven does not warm by at least 2 °C (35.6 °F) within 5 minutes of starting to heat. A big load of frozen food can cause it; on models with an integrated steam generator, a water container that is not fully engaged or a dry coupling seal can too. Miele oven display What to do when F20 shows on the oven ### Kind of code Heating The control asked for heat and the cavity did not warm the way it expected. Turn the oven off and on, then restart the program. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Can a full tray of frozen food trigger F20 on my Miele steam oven? Yes. Miele names a large quantity of frozen food as one cause, because the cavity cannot warm quickly enough at the start. Restart the program; if F20 appears with normal loads too, look further. ### What grease can I use on the water container seal of my Miele? Only the silicone grease supplied with the oven.
