F10 on a Miele steam oven or combi-steam oven is a water inlet problem. Miele lists a feed pump that dried out after a long idle period, a black suction hose in the water container that is missing, loose or not upright, and water so low in minerals that the steam generator's electrode cannot detect it. Check the black suction hose in the water container: it should be present, secure and standing vertically. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why would very soft water cause F10 on my Miele steam oven? Miele's steam generator uses an electrode that needs some minerals in the water to sense it. Water from a reverse-osmosis system can fall below the 1 gpg minimum Miele gives, and the oven then reads the generator as empty. ### My Miele steam oven showed F10 after months of not using it. Is that related? It can be.
