On GE wall ovens, F3 most often means the oven sensor needs replacing. It is one of the more common GE codes because the sensor sits in the cavity and lives through every self-clean. GE oven display What to do when F3 shows on the oven ### Kind of code Temperature sensor The reading from the temperature probe fell outside what the control will trust, or climbed far higher than the setting. Reset the breaker for a minute or two. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Is F3 on a GE almost always the sensor? GE's wording is usually the sensor, and that is where testing starts. The harness is checked too so the new part is not wasted. ### Can a breaker reset clear F3 on my GE for good? Sometimes a reset clears a one-off reading.
