GE Appliances publishes one shared code list for its ranges and wall ovens, and its advice for an unresolved code is to keep the oven off at the breaker until it is serviced. GE-branded wall ovens come in 27-inch and 30-inch single and double versions with electronic touch controls. The code list is shared with GE ranges, so the model number mostly decides which parts are stocked, not what a code means. ### One code list for GE ranges and wall ovens GE's support page covers the F-codes for its electronic ranges and wall ovens together, and the support pages for models like the JT5000 link straight to it. A code on your wall oven means the same thing it would on a GE range. ### Breaker off until service GE says a breaker reset for a minute or two sometimes clears a code, and when it does not, recommends leaving the oven off at the breaker until it is repaired. That is stricter than simply clearing the message. ### Steam clean beside self-clean GE wall ovens like the JT5000 offer Steam Clean for small spills at a lower temperature than Self-Clean. Self-Clean runs hotter and is the only cycle that should lock the door, so lock codes such as F9 tend to appear around it. ### A locked door has a set routine When a GE oven door stays locked, GE's order is: let it cool, cut power, and on an empty oven run a short self-clean to reset the latch. Forcing the latch is the one thing GE says never to do. Parts GE wall oven sensors, door locks, bake and broil elements and control boards are widely available. Keypanels on older models can take longer to source. Repair or replace Sensor, lock and element repairs on a GE wall oven are usually worth doing given the built-in cut-out.
