Café wall ovens, sold as the GE Café Series until about 2019 and as Café since, include the CTS70 single and CTD70 double Direct Air Convection models and Advantium speed ovens. They use GE Appliances' electronic controls, so their display codes and messages follow GE's shared list. The Café lineup ### Builds 3 oven types Single wall oven · Double wall oven · Speed oven ### Called out for Oven Door Won't Unlock and 5 more problems on Café ### Repairs we do 10 repairs, on any make Diagnostic visit · Bake and broil element repair · Gas igniter and burner repair · Temperature sensor and calibration ### Error codes Unlock Door · LOC · OFF 3 Café codes with a page of their own ## The Café lineup. Café wall ovens include 30-inch single and double Direct Air Convection ovens and Advantium speed ovens. Older GE Café Series models and current Café models use different manuals, so the model number decides which one applies. ### From GE Café Series to Café Models such as the CT9050, built from 2015 to 2019, carried the GE Café Series name, and the current CTS70 and CTD70 wear the Café badge alone. Both generations appear in GE's support system, and their manuals and code pages are found there. ### A touchscreen asks you to dismiss codes On current Café wall ovens a function code appears on an LCD, and the manual's first step is to press Dismiss and let the oven cool for an hour. If the code returns after a 30-second power cut, it needs service. ### Its own connection help Café sends owners to its own connected-appliance pages for Wi-Fi problems rather than to GE's. A connection issue does not affect the oven's heating. ### Messages that clear themselves Café ovens use messages such as OFF, when the oven is too hot for the requested function, and LOC, for control lockout. Neither one is a repair; they clear once the oven cools or the lockout is turned off. Parts Sensors, door locks, elements and fans for Café wall ovens come through GE Appliances' parts network and are generally available. Trim, handles and touchscreen controls specific to Café can take longer. Repair or replace Café wall ovens are premium built-ins, so most sensor, lock or fan problems are worth repairing. A failed touchscreen control on an older model is the main case for weighing a replacement. Book your Café visit ## What we are called out for. On Café, most often oven door won't unlock. What is the first step? Press Dismiss, let the oven cool for an hour, then use it again. If the code comes back, cut power for at least 30 seconds; if it still repeats, book a visit. ### Why does my Café oven show OFF right after self-clean? The oven is still too hot for a new function. Let it cool longer and try again. ### Is a GE Café Series oven serviced the same way as a newer Café? Both come from GE Appliances and share its code list, but the manuals and some parts differ. Have the full model number ready when you book a visit. ### Where does Café send owners for Wi-Fi problems? The Café manual points to cafeappliances.com/connect for wireless connectivity help. --- **[Read on the site: Café Oven Repair | OvenRepair.center](https://ovenrepair.center/brands/cafe/)** **[Book a visit with OvenRepair.center](https://ovenrepair.center/schedule/)**
